| 1. What is a “Dragon”? |
Dragons are students who are 4 to 6 years old and are too young for the full curriculum

| 2. What is the difference between the Dragons Curriculum and the Regular Curriculum? |
The Dragons Curriculum covers the White – Gold Belt Curriculum while the Regular Curriculum covers White though Black Belt.

| 3. What is the focus of the Dragons Program? |
The Dragons are learning Listening Skills, Focus, Respect, Self-Control, and Self-Discipline. Karate is our tool to accomplish this.

| 4. What do the stripes mean? |
Red – Attitude and Effort in Forms Class
Blue – Attitude and Effort in Sparring Class
White – School/Home/Parent note. (Adult Goal Sheet)
Black – Forms or Curriculum Proficiency
Brown – Sparring Proficiency

| 5. What sparring gear do I need? |
White & High White Belts will use Handpads and Mouthpiece only.
Gold Belts and Higher will use Head, Ribs, Shins, Feet, Groin in addition.

| 6. When am I testing? |
When you have all 5 required stripes on your belt you will be given your card to turn in for testing. At that time you will fill out a testing form and will be eligible to test.

| 7. What do I do on testing night? |
You will get your card and bring your sparring gear. Have your Testing form turned in prior to testing night or a belt may not be available to you.

| 8. What are private lessons and when should I schedule one? |
Private lessons are scheduled when a student is struggling with curriculum, motivation, or just needs a little help to get caught up with their classmates.

| 9. What is Black Belt Club? |
Black Belt Club is our elite club for students that are committed to getting their Black Belts. Advantages include: Reduced Tuition, Leadership Training, Leadership Uniform w/Patches, SWAT/STORM Training.

| 10. What costs are associated with karate? |
The primary costs are Tuition, Gear for Sparring, and Testing Fees.

| 11. What type of Martial Arts do you teach? |
We teach American Freestyle. Forms are ITF based as well as Jhoon Rhee Taekwondo. Self-Defense and Sparring is a combination of many disciplines ranging from Kenpo, Hopkido, Shotokan, Jui-Jitsu, Grappling, and Muey Thai.

| 12. Who is Grand Master Jhoon Rhee? |
Grand Master Jhoon Rhee is widely considered the “Father of American Tae Kwon Do”. He has taught TKD for 50+ years and was a close friend and mentor to world famous Bruce Lee.
