Stripe System

We conduct belt promotions every month. It takes about one month to test to the first belt, Hi-White. It takes about two months to test to the second belt, Gold. It takes about three months to test to the third belt, Orange and about three months for every other belt after that.

Curriculum Stripes (Black & Brown)

Black stripe = Knowledge. Basic knowledge of current belt curriculum. Ready to test for your    
                        next belt ( with approval from home, school, and karate) !
Brown stripe = Knowledge. Basic knowledge of current sparring curriculum. Ready to test for 
                         your next belt.

Red & Blue Stripes

Attitude, having a Black Belt attitude at karate.  Notes from home showing good attitude! Red for Forms and Blue for Sparring.

White Stripes

Child:
School stripe; doing well in school (good report card, tests, or notes from teachers).

Adult:
Goal stripe; Fill out goal sheet !
                   1. Set a goal !
                   2. Plan of action !
                   3. Time frame within three months !
